Step Back in Time at Bartow Arena. Why the UAB Blazers Home Arena is an Elite Basketball Viewing Experience

The size. At 8,508 seats, Bartow Arena is the 4th biggest college arena in the state (right behind Neville Arena in Auburn) and it’s perfect. A $12 ticket will get you a great view of the Blazers.

A $12 ticket in the Blazer Corner at Bartow Arena.

    2.    The concession/ticket prices. Don’t you remember the fizz in a pepper, peanuts in a bottle at ten, two and four. At Bartow you”ll be thinking about the good ol days like an old Tim McGraw country song. Brace yourselves for this. A $10 bill will get you a cheeseburger, chips and a coke (with free refills). Unheard in todays economy (thanks Obama). And as far as adult beverages go, you’re looking at Bud Light and Michelob Ultra.

    3.    Good ball happens at Bartow. Andy Kennedy utilized the transfer portal and picked up key players in Jelly Walker, KJ Buffen and Eric Gaines. Additionally, Trey Jemison from Hoover and Tony Toney are integral to UAB’s offense. Jelly Walker is on three different watchlists including the Bob Cousy Award watchlist, for best point guard in the nation. At one point Jelly was the nations leading scorer, averaging 24.6 points per game. You have got to get down to Bartow to see this Blazers team play. The good news is, there are 4 home games left to catch some quality ball in Southside.

UAB’s next home game is against #19 Florida Atlantic and it is undoubtedly the most important game of the season. FAU is top of the CUSA with a conference record of 11-0 and a winning streak of 20. Tickets are starting at $12. Get one while you can.
